Guesses:

How to play

  • A hidden word appears as blanks. Type one letter (a–z) in the box and press Guess or submit the field.
  • Correct letters fill every matching blank. Wrong letters cost one of six mistakes and advance the stick-figure sketch.
  • Guessed letters are listed so you do not repeat them. Reusing a letter does nothing.
  • Spell the full word before the figure completes to win. New Game picks another word anytime.

Game description

Snapshot. A secret word hides behind blanks. Each correct letter prints everywhere it belongs; each wrong letter adds another stroke to a spare sketch that politely warns you how few guesses remain.

Letter strategy.

  1. Open with high-frequency consonants and vowels that split the possibility space fast.
  2. Read partial patterns as morphology clues—doubled letters and suffix shapes matter.
  3. When two words fit, test letters that discriminate between them instead of repeating guesses.
  4. New Game swaps the target so curiosity never stalls on a single stump word.

Why play on fragox.com. Input stays lightweight: type one letter, press Guess, watch the board update—ideal for keyboards on lunch breaks or on-screen keyboards on tablets.

Language intuition. Spelling rehearsal, probability thinking, and graceful losing when the answer was obscure are literacy muscles dressed up as a doodle on the margin.
